Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for annual inspections.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair through restitution to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
