Are dbkillers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fastener is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
CAUTION: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if having the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. Should any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and license plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with repair rights with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR can't provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
