Are db killers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homology certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the homology code. If any problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a saddlebag, without a flashlight, and no license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with repair rights returned to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
