Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise-approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without any bag, torch, license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty and any warranty claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right for repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
