Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fittings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with regulations for public roadways.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must first check whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with regulations for public road use and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available online, including on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a luggage rack, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product's warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
