Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on roads is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with public road regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for race use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, starting from the date of purchase, with the right to repair by returning to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
