Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer has the homologation code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and request information and/or advice from customer service immediately.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? YES.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in its approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. Starting from the purchase, with the right to repair, returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
