Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper bolts or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is certified for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? YES.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without panniers, without a flashlight, and number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle resulting from the transformation to a race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
