Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fastener is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
CAUTION: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and seek immediate information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? YES.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without saddlebags, without flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. This applies from the purchase date, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
