Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or anti-tampering screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If purchasing online, it is recommended to buy the product from a VENDOR IN YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals, which must also comply with local legislation. Ensure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlights and license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
