Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws, or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not to tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product's warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
