Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with the regulations for public road traffic.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike solely on the track, without a bag, flashlight, license plate holder, or any other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
