Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use on the track; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without pouch, without flashlight and license plate holder or any parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into the race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
