Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-theft screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not in compliance with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer has the approval code. If issues occur during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike like on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. This counts from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
