Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is advised to read the instructions in the package or watch visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on a track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
