Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or the anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road regulations and to complete the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorbike as if it were on the track only, without saddlebags, without flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any request for a refund will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
