Are dbkillers removable? Tampering with the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public highway regulations.
WARNING: this item is certified for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is needed in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer has the homologation code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for locals and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in its approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other components that would conflict with the gas angle due to conversion to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in a loss of product warranty. This takes effect from the date of purchase, with the right to repair upon return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
