Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is possible only for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on public roads is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to complete the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed at a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without saddlebags, without flashlights, and without license plate mounts or other parts that may interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer as a replacement for the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
