Are db killers and removable catalytic converters legal? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tamper screws, or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed by a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific noise approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If any problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items suitable for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local residents and not to tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on the internet and YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without saddlebags, flashlights, and number plate holders or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following the conversion to track version. Abuse of this situation on the road will void the product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the time of purchase, the right to repair is with the return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
