Are Db killers removable? altering the Db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines, this is only permissible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road is not in compliance with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from the customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable Db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the Db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and without number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
