Are db killers and removable catalytic converters allowed? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalytic converter or the anti-tamper bolts or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not in line with public road regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided along with the installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without saddlebags, flashlights, number plate holders, or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty, and any warranty claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to GPR's factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
