Are dbkillers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the dbkiller and catalyst or anti-tampering screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as the installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals which must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
It is designed to be mounted in a high position. No structural modification of the bike is required for the installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for race use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Misusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claims will be rejected. This is from the date of purchase, with repair rights with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
