Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering welds on the db killer and the catalytic converter or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Ensure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your public road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, flashlight, and number plate holder or any parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Misusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
