Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering welds on the db killer and the catalyst or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection
Assembly recommendations: GPR products are plug-and-play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as assembly instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the proper approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers the items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bag, without flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation to the race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair at the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
