Are db killers and removable catalytic converters allowed? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it’s still recommended to install them in a professional workshop, as no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the proper approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items suitable for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, number plate holder, or other parts that may conflict with the gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty from the date of purchase, with the right of repair returned to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
