Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must verify in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, or license plate support, or any other parts that could interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
