Are removable db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only permitted for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road regulations and to complete the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed by a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a bag, without flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that might interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the point of purchase, with the right to repair, returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
