Are removable db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to conduct the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install products at a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes on the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different angle of gas due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any warranty claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, to be returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer as a replacement for the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
