Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws, or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must first check if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and conduct the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer accepts responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bag, without flashlight, and without number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty, and any requests for replacement will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair sent back to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
