Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is needed in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty, and any warranty claims will be rejected. From the moment of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
