Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not in accordance with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is certified for noise; the customer must check in advance if having the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play; however, it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a bag, without a spotlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. This is counted from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
