Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without number plate support or other parts that may conflict with the changed gas angle due to conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the purchase, with repair rights with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
