Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with traffic regulations on public road networks.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of any issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and seek immediate information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? YES.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any request for a return will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair through the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
