Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on roads does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products at a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? YES.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other pieces that would conflict with the altered gas angle following the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with a return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one for repair; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
