Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper bolts or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalytic converter is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
The kit can be used for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems occur during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the time of purchase, the right to repair applies with return to the GPR factory or nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
