Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not to tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without saddlebag, flashlight, number plate holder, or any other parts that may conflict with the different angle of gas due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
