Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering welds on the db killer and the catalyst or tamper-proof screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public highway regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. If problems occur during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bag, flashlight, or number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of gas due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one needing repair, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
