Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. The use of the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must verify in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, number plate holder, or any parts that would conflict with the different angle of the exhaust due to transitioning to a race version. Misusing this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the moment of purchase, the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
