Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it's still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If any problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is this limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that could interfere with the altered gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any warranty claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
