Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If any issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on a track only, without saddlebags, without flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. Starting from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
