Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; it is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues faced during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? Yes.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, rights to repair are with the return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
