Are db killers and removable catalytic converters allowed? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or tamper-proof screws, or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not in line with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If purchasing online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers products for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the throttle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right of repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
