Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-theft screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, and using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if it were on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that could interfere with the different gas angle following the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the purchase date, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the repaired one; the customer must accept to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
