Are db killers and removable catalytic converters allowed? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or removing the anti-tampering screws or the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. The use of the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your public road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair through the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
