Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines. This is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: This item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as assembly instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If problems are encountered during the installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use. Removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, effective from the date of purchase, with the right to repair, returning to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
