Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with traffic regulations on public roads.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must verify in advance whether the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalytic converter is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and seek immediate information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a saddlebag, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or any other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the time of purchase, with a right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
