Are the dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines, and is only permissible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on-road does not comply with public road regulations.
ATTENTION: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer has the homologation code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents, not tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on a track only, without panniers, without flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the altered gas angle as a result of converting to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one needing repair; the customer must consent to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
