Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations, this is only allowed exclusively for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if it were on a track only, without saddlebags, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle resulting from conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. Starting from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired, and the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
