Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: This item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road and for annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, and each silencer has the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and request information and/or advice from customer service immediately.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on track only, without a bag, flashlight, and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty. From the purchase date, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
