Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on road is not in accordance with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must verify beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and for conducting the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder, or other parts that might interfere with the different angle of the gas due to converting to race version. Misusing this situation on the road will void the product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one for repair; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
